1. An Overview of Data Protection

We take the protection of your personal data very seriously and treat it confidentially in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and applicable national law. Personal data is any data with which you could be personally identified. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect when you use our website and purchase our product, and how we use it.

You can visit most of our website without providing personal data. Where personal data (such as your name and email address) is collected, this is done — wherever possible — on a voluntary basis. Please be aware that data transmission over the internet (e.g., communication by email) can have security gaps; complete protection against access by third parties is not possible.

2. Hosting and Content Delivery

Our website is hosted by a third-party hosting provider. When you access our pages, the provider's servers automatically collect and store information in server log files that your browser transmits — including your IP address, browser type and version, the operating system used, the referrer URL, and the time of the request. This data is processed to ensure a secure, stable, and correctly displayed website, based on our legitimate interest pursuant to Art. 6 (1)(f) GDPR. Certain pages and the checkout are delivered on our behalf through GoHighLevel (HighLevel Inc.). Data may be transferred to servers in the USA.

3. Purchase and Payment Processing

We sell "The Silence Switch" directly to you. The seller and your contractual partner for all purchases is Andreas Burkhardt, trading as The Silence Institute — there is no third-party Merchant of Record.

The checkout is operated on our behalf using GoHighLevel (HighLevel Inc.). Payments are processed by our payment service provider, Stripe. When you make a purchase, the data you enter at checkout (such as your name, email address, billing details, and card information) is processed by Stripe in order to complete your payment securely. We do not store your full card details. This processing is necessary for the performance of the purchase contract pursuant to Art. 6 (1)(b) GDPR. For details on how Stripe handles your data, please see Stripe's Privacy Policy. Data may be transferred to the USA.

4. Analytics, Tracking, and Marketing

To understand how our website is used and to measure and improve our advertising, we use the following services. Where legally required, these are used only on the basis of your consent pursuant to Art. 6 (1)(a) GDPR, which you can withdraw at any time; otherwise they are based on our legitimate interest pursuant to Art. 6 (1)(f) GDPR. These tools may set cookies and transfer data to the USA.

5. Video Hosting (Vidalytics)

We use Vidalytics to host and display videos on our pages. When you view a video, Vidalytics may process data such as your IP address and viewing behavior to deliver the video and provide us with aggregated viewing statistics, based on our legitimate interest pursuant to Art. 6 (1)(f) GDPR. Data may be transferred to the USA.

6. Email Marketing and CRM (GoHighLevel)

We use GoHighLevel (HighLevel Inc.) as our customer relationship management (CRM) system and for email and SMS communication. When you provide your contact details — for example, to receive your product, reserve a call, or contact support — they are stored and processed in GoHighLevel so that we can deliver your product, provide customer support, and send you communications related to your purchase. This is based on Art. 6 (1)(b) GDPR (performance of a contract) and Art. 6 (1)(f) GDPR (our legitimate interest in communicating with our customers). Data may be transferred to the USA.

7. Your Rights

Under the GDPR, you have the right to:

To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at info@mail.thesilenceinstitute.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority.

8. Data Security and SMS Opt-in

We use SSL/TLS encryption to protect the transmission of data on our website. While you are using our checkout and forms, your connection is encrypted.

If you opt in to receive SMS messages from us, your mobile number and consent are used solely to send you the messages you requested (for example, updates related to your purchase or booking). Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP.
